Is everything really free?
Yes, completely. During our launch phase, every feature is free for all users — residents, buyers, renters, and agents. No credit card, no trial period, no paywall.
Will it stay free forever?
The core product will always have a generous free tier. In future we may introduce optional premium features (such as PDF reports or white-label tools for agencies), but we'll give plenty of notice before anything changes.
How do I list my property?
Register, then sign up as an agent (or private seller). You'll get an agent portal to manage all your listings. Listings go live immediately and appear on suburb, complex and municipality pages.
Can I compare neighbourhoods for free?
Yes — area comparison, relocation planning, commute analysis and all scores are fully available without payment.
What data powers the scores?
Real public datasets per country: SAPS, police.uk and FBI crime records; Stats SA, ONS, US Census and Destatis demographics; official school registers; OpenStreetMap amenities; and moderated resident reviews. Every source is listed on our methodology and data-coverage pages, and we never make data up.
Why doesn't Property Check show me a price?
Because we don't have a licensed source for property sale prices in any of our 5 countries, and we'd rather tell you that honestly than invent a number. Property Check gives you real location evidence instead — schools, hazards, safety, amenities.
What does the confidence rating mean?
Every score carries a confidence level (Very high to Insufficient) based on how strong, fresh and geographically precise the real evidence behind it actually is. A low-confidence score is always shown as such, not hidden behind a clean-looking number.
How do I get load-shedding updates?
Suburb and municipality pages show live EskomSePush data — current stage, upcoming events, and your area's specific schedule. Free for everyone in South Africa.
